NISSAN PATROL 3.0 Di SVE 5dr Auto (Review date: 19th January '12)

4.3

Bought this car in 2010 and it has proved to be a totally reliable car. It is a large car so has loads of room and can carry seven people (6th and 7th seats forward facing with 3 point belts) in comfort. Round town it can be heavy on fuel but for the size of it i think its ok, on a run it can reach 30mpg. I had a 1999 rangerover diesel before this and it cost a fortune to run and thats not including the breakdowns!! it does not have the character of the rangerover but at least it starts and is cheaper to run. It comes fully loaded with heated leather seats, sat nav, climate and the usual extras. All in all its a great car that i would recommend to anyone.

King of the desert

NISSAN PATROL 3.0 Di Long Way Down 5dr (Review date: 2nd July '11)

The Patrol is perfect for where we live, Abu Dhabi in the UAE. It is basically a luxury tank, which you need for Abu Dhabi roads, as the answer to which side of the road do Emiratis drive on is 'Your side.' 4x4's are the exception rather than the rule, so the chances are that whatever hits you will be another 4x4.

In the desert, we call it the 'Toyota Land Cruiser Recovery Vehicle.' Camping in the desert and desert driving is a joy in the Patrol; the only downside to the car is that there is not a great deal of leg room in the back, but, hey, I should worry! You don't drive it from the back seat!

In fact, it's so good, we own two. My wife loves hers as much as I do, although hers is a bit more scraped and battered, (I wonder why?).

The first car I bought out there was an old '93 patrol, and there isn't a day goes by when I don't regret selling it, nice though the newer model is...
