MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Equippe 5dr (Review date: 20th January '11)
owned it for six months and its great, much better that discos etc has good looks and i have the euippe so good loads of gadgets.
i feel safe and on tight roads people let you through.
snow and poor roads are no problems for the mitsy.
feel very safe on motorway and for that reason we leave the vectra at home.
we tow a 27ft twin axle caravan and its faster with the caravan on the back!!
fuel is 33 mpg and i had the boost rensor replaced £75 as a common fault with them gave me loads more power and mpg was 25 went to 33mpg
i hope mitsy make a new version as come replacement i dont want a mobile skip with 4 doors (l200 etc)
recomend 100% and my 54 plate mitsy or 51 plate disco!! no brainer

MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Equippe 5dr (Review date: 16th January '11)
Terrific car. Bought this as we are renovating a house a few miles from town and need to be able to get there to keep working regardless of weather in N. E. Scotland!! Have had minus 18oC and never fails to start and drives through 12 inches of snow without a hitch.. Very roomy and user friendly everyday vehicle too, my not-so-young Mum can get in and out without a problem, no worries with my granddaughters baby seat, plenty space in the back for two lively dogs!! Had minor repair - apparently common problem is the fuel filler pipe is an 'L' shape and deteriorates at the elbow over time as the pump filler hits it every time you fill.. Mechanic replaced in an hour and undersealed to protect for future. Great daily use car, okay big to park but at 28 ish to gallon not dreadful for the reliability and comfort.
MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Trojan 5dr (Review date: 1st January '11)
This car suited my needs from day one. Ideal for towing a horse box never had a problem with the weight. Collecting children and all their gear from school, very spacious. I have no problem with recommending this vehicle to anyone and this is my second shogun sport, they have never failed me and I feel safe when driving this, especially after the recent bad weather, the shogun cruised through the snow with ease.
The only con would be possibly the running cost it does take a lot of fuel but remember this is a heavy car that you would feel safe in and never lets you down. I do not think the fuel consumption is excessive and is on par with other 4 x 4 vehicles. A sixth gear would be nice when negotiating motorways, but apart from that I am more than happy.

MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Warrior 5dr (Review date: 26th December '10)
I originally bought this 4x4 as I wanted a stylish, sturdy, spacious car as I travel long distances in all types of weather and also go camping. It suited my lifestyle perfectly. The main pros of this vehicle is that it drives well in icy, snowy conditions which has been so useful to me long distance. It also has so much space to carry any large equipment. The only drawback of this vehicle is the £400 road tax a year and quite high running costs if you are travelling long distance. If I had enough money to keep running this vehicle I would not be selling it. It is so reliable!
so impressed with this car
MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Warrior 5dr (Review date: 5th December '10)
Having only owned a mitsubishi shogun sport 2.5 td for about 2 months...I have been so impressed with this car..absolutely immaculate inside and out..and in sad circumstances I have just had to sell it...I really hope I can get another, one day in the condition which this one was..I loved it..bit sluggish on the pulling away, but its not a racing car..a good service improved the performance immensely..so envious of the new owners..
4X4 WITH GOOD LOOKS AND RELIABILITY
MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT 2.5 TD Equippe 5dr (Review date: 28th November '10)
This was a replacement for older shogun 2.5TD. LWB. I liked the modern looks of the Sport and Mitsubishi reputation for reliability. If this was going to replace my ageing beast then it has a lot to live up to. On the road it looks good and overall vision is good. I am 6'3" tall and i fit in quite well. The ride is a bit hard but that's what you can expect with this type of vehicle. Dashboard layout and controls are basic but at least its less that can go wrong. I have the Equippe which has the wood effect dash board and gives the interior a warmer feel.Everything is easy to access and brake - clutch pedals reasonably light. First time i have had aircon and in the summer felt like i was driving in heaven. Interior has a nice feel about it and seems hard wearing. I have the cloth trim and it looks good. Tend to get an odd rattle that seems to come and go inside but nothing to really complain about, maybe ambient temperature has something to do with it. Generally inside a nice looking and comfortable area with good views outside due to height of vehicle.Rear luggage area is generous with lots of storage underneath.
The gear change is easy with no fiddling around trying to find gears so no complaints there. Transmission has given no problems and quiet which i expect in todays cars.
The engine lets you know its there but once moving drifts away into the distance. It is a diesel no getting away from that. I manage to get around 30 mpg general around town with a bit of urban thrown in for good measure. On a good run i know it far exceeds my expectations especially if you treat the throttle with some respect.
Performance is acceptable pulling away but generates the need to get into 2nd gear asap to get some speed but once on the move it is very impressive Also on occasions i tow a twin axle caravan and without doubt the best tow car i have owned.
Conclusion. A great 4X4 and worth having a good look at.
