A great MINI adventure
MINI COOPER 1.6 Cooper 2dr (Review date: 28th January '12)

Have owned thiscar from new and enjoyed every moment. Genuinely fun to drive, great driving position, lumbar support on the sport seats has been life saver for long journeys, handles really well, although suspension is quite stiff so pot holes best avoided. Boot is on the small side if you need to carry anything more than the weekly shop but saying that I've managed to move house with it by folding down the rear seats and taking the roof down. Has been perfect for lifestyle until baby came along. Running costs are moderate for a small car. One niggle is how peircing the parking sensors sound but equally love how macho the horn sounds! Has been a fantastic, reliable car and would buy another when baby has grown up a bit.

My first car (over 10 years ago) was a mini it rattleled, leaked and was very unreliable. I always promised myself, when i could, again, buy another one, i loved it despite all its faults.
I traded in my family friendly car for my bit of fun - I love it!
Yes it is small, yes its a bit noisy on faster roads as its a soft top, and yes it is a bit pricey on insurance, about £360 a year, but it's worth it and all insurance is expensive now - so just shop around. It costs about £70 to fill tank up. There is limited leg room in the back but ample in the front. The boot can fit 4 shopping bags from sainsburys!
I have had the car 4 months now and found it to be very economical on motorway miles about (38.0mpg), not great on school runs etc - to be expected. I have kept an eye on oil, and it seems to be ok, the soft top works fine and stereo is ace. I have the chrono pack, which give the centre console a different style and it looks great. I love the style and little details, it's such a functional but great running car. It is so much fun to drive.
I love my car, if you are thinking of doing it - Do it!!

MINI CONVERTIBLE 1.6 '54 PLATE'
MINI COOPER 1.6 Cooper 2dr (Review date: 9th November '11)

OK, EVERYONE ON HERE APPEARS THRILLED WITH THEIR MINI?? SORRY TO DISAPPOINT... FANTASTIC TO LOOK AT,, LOVELY TO DRIVE.. BIT THIRSTY GENERALLY SPEAKING AND FOR PRACTICALITY, I HAVE 3 CHILDREN, THEY CAN ALL GET IN THE CAR AND HAVE A SAFETY BELT ROUND THEM WHICH IS MY MAIN CONCERN. I DID NOT BUY A MINI FOR IT TO BE PRACTICAL, IF SO I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A VAUXHALL ASTRA ESTATE!
NEVER, NEVER BUY A 54 MINI!! UNLESS OF COURSE YOU HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF SPARE CASH TO SPEND ON IT. MY HOOD JUST STOPPED WORKING, THE SEATS STOPPED SLIDING FORWARDS, THE CD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING, IT LEAKS FROM THE INTERIOR LIGHTS, RANDOMLY THE BRAKE, ALARM GOES ON AND OFF. LAST WEEK DROVE HOME FROM TESCO WITH THE ALARM SOUDING THE WHOLE WAY HOME!! WHAT A LOAD OF WASTED MONEY, WILL REVIEW AGAIN IF MINI EVER SORT THIS SHAMBLES OUT....

Mini convertible

I wasn't sure about this car but once driven its really good fun! Its perfect for town, easy to parl and maneouvre apart from the visibility in the rear window. The boot, althought tiny, is quite a suprise because I can actually fit my weekly supermarket shop in the boot much to my surprise.
I chose automatic due to town driving which is fine - my only complaint is its a bit heavy on petrol.
All in all a great fun car. BMW have done a great job in creating so much space and making the car feel very solid. I love this car and love driving with the roof down too!Even when the roof is up it is completely wind proof and leak proof so all in all a good buy

Great Fun To Drive
MINI COOPER 1.6 Cooper 2dr (Review date: 31st October '11)
3.5
The mini cooper converterble is great fun car to drive, very well build and surprising spacious in the front seats for a small car. No room at all in the rear and no boot space so no use for a family.
Handles like it's on rails and is reasonably sporty. The automatic roof works very well but as with all convertibles the road noise with roof up is still significant.
The mini holds it's price well so you don't loose too much on the resale, and is reasonably economical to run.
The trim and look is very good, and unique.
Overall if you like driving and don't need space it's a great buy.

COMPACT STYLISH CONVERTIBLE FOR THE LOVERS OF SMALL CAR
MINI COOPER 1.6 Cooper Sidewalk 2dr (Review date: 23rd September '11)
4.5
Beautiful convertible car.fun to drive. Ideal for people with older kids or with no kids as it can only put 1 particular model pram and the rest are a no no. Very durable n smooth easy to park, the leather interior and alloys makes it more stylish n sporty. Insurance is reasonable so is the fuel consumption
Overall a good sporty car for individuals looking for compact convertible.

I have owned this car for 3 years in September and am very sad to see it go. It has been looked after and loved, kept very clean and driven with care. Petrol consumption is good for careful drivers. The electric roof is amazing on a sunny day and you can alternatively just have a sunroof, this is all at the push of a button inside the car. I would DEFINATELY buy another mini convertible as they are so easy to drive. The heated front seats are great for winter when its colder and they heat up so fast. It has a great dash board with a speedo right in the centre but also you have the option to watch your speed on an electronic speedo above the steering wheel. Also it gives you the exact amount of miles you have of petrol which is handy.
