Easy to drive, economical, low road tax, low insurance, excellent driving lock, easy to park (has rear parking sensors). Holds the road well, feels sturdy and secure. Good comfortable seat adjustment. Perfect for summer driving, enjoy the open air and take in the sun. Fashionable little car and a real head turner, especially with the roof open. Reluctant sale.

Lovely to drive; very responsive with a short shift and zippy acceleration. My car draws admiring looks with it's top on or off!
The internal space for passengers is a bit tight for children but I've fitted in 2 car seats and it all works. I've been amazed many times just how much stuff I can fir into this car.

FIAT 500 CONVERIBLE

The Fiat 500 convertible has only been on the road since 2009 and I bought one of the first. I have had lots of macho convertibles in the past including Triumphs, MGs, Mercedes and for fun, practicality, economy and sheer cuteness this car beats them all. Also I have read the Autotrader reviews of top 10 convertibles and all the criticisms of those cars have been sorted with the Fiat.
You can open the roof on the move below 20 mph, to catch those glimpses of sunshine, the on board computer tells me I am currently averaging 60 mpg - diesel - I can take 4 grown adults in comfort and my road tax has just come down to 25 pounds.
You can design your own car on an excellent Fiat website and the dealers at Canterbury have been so helpful. Look out for the twin air convertible which has just come out, a 2 cylinder petrol turbo charged little gem which I have test driven, which makes a glorious noise under acceleration and still delivers around 60 mpg.
I am thinking of changing car but can't find an alternative that is fit for purpose. I paid 12500 pounds when it was new under the scrappage scheme and have been offered 12000 from a dealer. I love this car but my only gripe is that as a male, I wish manufacturers made a British sports car which ticked all the boxes this Fiat does.
