Fiat 500, king of city cars!
FIAT 500 1.2 Pop 3dr (Review date: 25th June '14)
I honestly cant get over how much I've fallen in love with the Fiat 500, its a perfectly compact sized car built for the urban streets.
The steering makes handling and parking a breeze, the mileage (even on my older 2008 model) is still going strong at 50mpg, I have had not a single problem with brakes, exhaust, belt, sparks, nothing. all MOT's and services have come back positive in its 6 years of driving.
The only negative I suppose, is that the #### ##### are a little cramped, but then again, everyone who buys the 500 must have known that by looking at the car? Its built to be small! Its not built to be a big family car.
Will always recommend the Fiat 500!

Lovely little car but please beware this car was stolen along with many other Fiat 500. And I feel the reason they get stolen is the car is lacking on security. So if you are thinking of purchasing one the have a alarm fitted or a steering wheel lock. Anything to stop the thieves from taken these cars.
Nice Wee Car...
FIAT 500 0.9 TwinAir 3dr (Review date: 19th May '14)
I bought the shiney red Twin air new in march 2012 as i was after a stylish, economical and . sporty litlle car to get me bacwards and forwards to work. In the 2 years it has covered 14000 miles and been used for commuting , longer runs and delivering pizzas...
The wee 875cc turbo charged engine is a cracker, and although its only 85bhp, it pulls like a train! It sounds like a cross between a lamborgini and a citroen 2cv, it also corners and handles well.
The build quality is generally good , its had a new chrome/plastic gear knob after it broke off in my hand and a new coil pack both under warranty. The most annoying problem is a squeeky driver seat...
Good points: Roomy in the front
fun to drive
Bad points: Fuel economy not great
Red paint chips easily
So if you're looking for a small fun to drive stylish city car you could do a lot worse than a 500 Twin Air..
FIAT 500 1.2 Sport 3dr (Review date: 27th September '13)
Well rhis car brand new 13 reg. got the new 500s sporty bodykit which looks veery nice.
Am afraid thats it!!
Having bought it from the main dealers, it was like a 6 months wait for a diesel cause they dont do them anymore and loke a 3 months wait for the 0.9 twinair which is abit quicker but higher insurance and absurd fuel economy. Hence we were left with the 1.2...
First few days were ok then the underpower started to show up on roundabouts and pulling out to main roads. Forget about overtaking even if you r alone in the car its life threatening.
Fuel economy after 5000 mi of mixed driving was 45-48 mpg not more. Obviously the little 1.2 ford engine with its scarce ##### has to work really hard to comply with real road driving and styles.
A month later interior started squeaking randomly mainly from the back and by month 2 a squeek from rear brakes.
Stereo system is ok and driving position is OK.
Startstop is bad in heavy traffic on school runs and i switch it off most of the times whilst the city steering is dangerous as it sends your steering feedback bonkers and extremely light, undriveable.
Overall i like the car. Its a good city car and short A road journeys, whilst its dangerous on motorways seriously.
Build quality is cheap as is the car, but looks great and special.
I would have probably been much happier with the diesel 100bhp but i wont buy another 500 again for sure.
I overall regret buying this car, for the same money could have biught a great 3-4 year old german (BMW).
what a car !!

Fab little run around
FIAT 500 1.2 Lounge 3dr (Review date: 23rd April '12)
I love this car, drives better than any of the puntos that I've had in the past,,, brill on petrol £37 from bottom to top and can get 270 miles out of it,,,, Loved how I could customise the car to how I wanted it with all the different extra that they do, the blue and me has its probs sometimes as it does depend on which phone you have but the usb port is brilliant for using memory sticks with plenty of tunes. I have ordered a twin air and am currently waiting for its arrival as my 500 has retained a brill part ex value. Well worth its weight in gold and I can't wait till I get my twin air.
FIAT 500 1.2 Pop 3dr [Start Stop] (Review date: 26th March '12)
Easily fits four adults, cheap tax, incredibly cheap insurance considering my age (was the cheapest out of any car I quoted, even old ones), blue&me is excellent and easy to use, interior is glamourous considering it's only a pop, fuel consumption is brilliant, start&stop occasionally fluffs up quick starts, but other than that it's a brilliant car, extremely nippy, copes well on the motorway, even overtakes better than expected. Love it.
Had a 2010 Renault Clio before, which was insanely expensive to insure, on petrol and to tax despite the fact that it was only a 1.2 and in iMusic trim. Interior was plasticy and cheap looking, and it was incredibly slow in comparison to my 500.
Practical and Stylish
FIAT 500 1.2 Lounge 3dr (Review date: 11th March '12)
This is a wonderful little car that is both stylish and reliable.
It is a pleasure to drive and has excellent additional features such as a great sound stystem that is compatable with MP3 players and a handsfree bluetooth phone connection.
The Fiat 500 is a city car but is also very comfortable to drive on longer journey's; particluarly in the summer with the sunroof open.
The running costs are low, the tax is cheap and it is eco friendly in fuel consumption.
I would fully recommend this car to anyone.
