This car is addictive to drive! With 380 bhp and 60 in under 5 you cannot complain. It is fast and practical and on the scale of things reasonable to run. I have owned the car for around 18 months and never had a problem, i have replaced tyres and serviced it twice and Its cost me the same as my tdi audi with regards tyres and servicing but obviously a little more in fuel.

I have had 32 MPG on a run but generally work miles return around 20. Its comfortable to drive, handles very well (doesn't feel like an estate) and everytime you put your foot down there is power until 155 :) . With two dogs and several camping trips this car has always been suitable and you can fit a roof box to this supercar. Best in the misano red, polishes up superb and shines for weeks.

Got to be one of the best cars available for price, came out of the factory as the fastest production estate car in the world, built in partnership with cosworth and with a permanent 50/50 four wheel drive system it is just awesome and has to be driven and owned to be appreciated.

Even by todays standards not much will be worth the waste of fuel and rubber, very fast twin turbo engine, solid, reliable and well built a real statement by audi.

Although we must now part i will get one again !!

Rapid retro family transport

It has most of the practicality of a model B5 Audi Estate, the only thing to watch out for is that the Recaro seats are bigger than the standard ones, so rear legroom is restricted if you have tall adults in the front.

With the stiffer suspension it has developed a few rattles and squeaks over the years but otherwise it's still great to drive. Very quick with bags of torque for easy overtaking.

It drinks a fair amount if you drive it enthusiastically but it can be coaxed to the high 20's on a run. It also consumes it's consumables at a pace so make sure you budget for maintenance.

Overall, I love it. I can use it for the tip and a fast blast.

excellent value for a super car

AUDI RS4 RS4 Quattro 5dr (Review date: 22nd February '12)

this is a great car plenty of room comfortable and a nice smooth drive but also its a super car and very fast when you want some fun as for running cost there not cheap but certainly not bad to especially considering what alot of car you get for your money and lets face it you certainly dont expect a super car like this to do a 100mpg and cost £200.00 per year in running costs now do youi cant fault these RS4's in anyway shape or form, as for reliability i find just regular servicing with a main dealer that operates the discount system for cars over 4 years old or taking it to a specialist makes a huge difference (keeps the cost down)

overall i would say its a great car!!!

Practical, very fast, stealth, fastest car on road for 10% of value.

What can you say, shop in the morning then track day in the afternoon. With re map these cars can do 0-60 in 4 seconds/ 180 mph and still run to 200k miles easily. However they are not cheap to live with and avoiding expensive parts/ servicing can bite you. Its a 10 year old supercar that happens tp have 5 seats, so will always have emission glitches from the turbos, sensors etc.

On 10k a year expect £1k a year in servicing, tyres, brakes as an average. Petrol around 20 mpg, unless you are sat at 70 mph for two hours then maybe 28.

Downside, maybe lacks a little flair. Very Germanic and business like but not the charm of a 911 or sound of the newer B7.

But at around £11k well worth a year's fun and the strong second hand market and low road tax means petrol consumption is cancelled out - unless something breaks.....Dont buy Silver as everyone has one.If you can get flat black, you will be joining a club of only 20 members in the UK!! Cant say that about a Scooby.
