AUDI A3 1.8 T FSI Sport 2dr (Review date: 20th May '14)
I brought this car and I feel straight in love with how it drives, how much space there is. The folding seats for when you need to add more space. Perfect for all weathers and the dual climate control is amazing. Bluetooth with aux just makes driving along so much easier. I have never experienced any issue or breakdowns with this car.

Glad to be rid of it after 2 years of false neutrals in the dsg stronic box. New Mechatronic unit fitted, box reprogrammed several times and intermittent false neutral leaving us in mid traffic with no drive on many occasions. Audi tried to fix it but I have spent a lot of time driving an A1 which seemed to have a better dsg tho a rather intrusive B pillar when you have the seat further back , it's quite a contorsion getting in n out. A3 cabriolet was the best solution for us needing a 2 + 1 child set up tho in hindsight should have got a manual golf. Paddles gets boring after the novelty wears off, especially when you are not sure what gear you are in. 28mpg not so great and tried constantly to drive around pot holes as the ride could be harsh on 18 inch alloys combined with the hardest seats ever in the coxis region, unbelievably no lumbar adjustment in seats, I think I need a volvo's lovely seats now!
One very happy owner

I was the 3rd person in Perth, Australia to buy one in 2008 from the Audi dealer. I could not find many reviews about the car but when I took it for a test drive, just instantly fell in love with it. Loved the quality, the smooth drive, just the general handling and size of it. I use it most for country drives down south driving through winding roads, that are often very wet. I did change the tyres and mags about 1 year ago to 18" low profiles, the same tyres that the TT's come out of the Audi factory with. The car now runs even better than before and sticks like glue to those wet country roads. It has get up and go when I need it and the ABS brakes have worked well whilst trying to avoid the odd stray Kangaroo jumping on the road. Unfortunately after owning this gorgeous thing for almost 5 years, I need to sell it to move to the UK. I have looked at many cars to replace it but in my heart I know I will buy another one, in fact I have my eye on one now. All my friends and family love it also. The ONLY down side is the large blind spot from the hood but this problem is not enough to make me not like the car. Well done Audi for producing such a beautiful car !

Very quick, extremely reliable, great to drive, and the sport version has lots of extras. I previously had a 2 year old bmw 3 series coupe, and it was nothing but trouble. This is quicker, better spec, and much more fun in the sun. It even has good boot space, and one of the quickest electric roofs on the market. Thanks to the top spec acoustic soft top roof it is also very quiet when the roof is up. The 2 ltr petrol turbo engine is the same engine as the sporty golf, giving you great power when you need it.

The Audi finish is somewhat beautiful in this car, the IPhone holder and bluetooth is super. On the lower spec models, the roof is not electric. Drives smooth with roof up or down. The only problem I have is that there is not enough room in the back for 4 four adults. My next one will be a A4 soft-top.
Pleasing to Drive and Better Made than the Competition
AUDI A3 1.8 T FSI 2dr (Review date: 19th January '12)
It's not a driver's car - if you want better handling and more power in an open top coupe look at a Boxster or an SLK. If you want a well-built convertible for two with luggage space for a week away then this a discretely pleasing choice. Smarter than a Golf, less chunky & more waterproof than an Eos, less flash than a BMW 1.
The hood is smooth and swift whilst Audi's version of VW's turbocharged 4 cylinder engine delivers power smoothly above 1500rpm. On slow exits at lower revs the turbo cuts in sharply making for jerky progress unless the clutch is engaged gently. Rear 3/4 vision with the hood up is poor, so look carefully in the mirrors for reverse parking and overtaking. The usual VAG Group problem with ESP should be fixed my now; also the electric windows can be a bit more up & down than expected. Classy.
I am still smiling.

Well I bought this car new almost 1 year ago, and I wrote a review about it with in the first month saying I was smiling.
I can still say that, that smile is even wider now.
The car has been faultless and the service excellent.
It had a recall early in it's life and Audi called to tell me.
They came and picked it up, did what ever they had too do, washed and valeted the car before returning it.
I have had a retro fit cruise control fitted by Audi and again it was washed and valeted before being returned.
The works well and the fuel returns are excellent. always around 55 mpg with mixed driving. This is deffinately the best car I have owned since I started driving, almost 38 years now.
Amazing all weather car
AUDI A3 1.2 T FSI Sport 2dr [Start Stop] (Review date: 12th October '11)
This head turner car is amazing to drive, and very economical to drive. The brilliant thing about this car is that it has a relatively small engine (1.2), but is really nippy and fast to drive with the sport turbo engine. The road tax is also incredibly reasonable due to the 1.2 engine.
It is a misconception that you can't have the roof down in England all year round. I have had the roof down on this car on average 2 times a week in the year that I have owned it, and I love it every time! The roof goes up and down incredibly quickly too, so it is not a hassle. I thought that having a soft top would be noisy when driving at high speeds (with the roof up) but it really isn't bad at all, I have been really impressed.
As with all Audi's, you can really feel the quality of the car when you drive it. The steering is solid and you feel really safe on the road.
Overall, this is a lovely car that doesn't guzzle petrol, is reliable and beautiful to boot!
