Jaguar XFR-S to be unveiled at L.A. Auto Show
Tuesday 20 November 2012
• Fastest Jaguar saloon ever
• A more hardcore version of the XFR
• 542bhp 5.0-litre V8
It has been announced that the Jaguar XFR-S will be unveiled next week at the L.A. Auto Show. It will be a faster, harder version of the already highly acclaimed XFR super-saloon and will join the XKR-S coupe and cabriolet to be the third model in Jaguar’s range-topping R-S range.
This new saloon will, according to Jaguar, be “the fastest and most powerful saloon we have ever produced.”
Although no details have been officially announced, Auto Trader expects that the new car will be powered by the same 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 found in the XKR-S models. We also expect that it will use the same six-speed automatic gearbox found in other Jaguars.
The teaser image revealed does, however show that the XFR-S will get a raft of bodywork upgrades to give it a more aggressive look and will be available in a bespoke French Racing Blue colour.
