Auto Trader has launched ignition, a new monthly iPad publication featuring bespoke multimedia content. This ground-breaking app is aimed at providing an entertaining and engaging way to research your new run-around, while at the same time allowing readers to access Auto Trader’s massive used and new-car stock.

Nick Gee, Auto Trader’s director of mobile, said: “Mobile is an important and growing channel for Auto Trader. With over one million unique users per month accessing Auto Trader on an iPad, we wanted to create an interactive and innovative publication that the audience can engage with at their convenience.”

Available on iPad devices from the Apple Newsstand, the in-app search functionality allows readers to load dedicated search results from Auto Trader’s online market place. Consumers can also post information about the cars available straight to their own Facebook and Twitter feeds. The app also includes a live Twitter feed from Auto Trader itself, which gives the reader information on the cars available from Auto Trader. ignition has been designed and built by Future Publishing.

The launch price of ignition is £1.49 and is available on the Apple Newsstand from today.
