• Jaguar tops list for customer satisfaction
• Midlands manufacturer enjoying huge sales increases
• Jaguar XF crowned Executive Car of the Year
Jaguar has been named the number one manufacturer by the JD Power customer satisfaction survey.
The annual survey, which is based on the opinions of nearly 18,000 participants, assesses overall customer satisfaction based on performance, design, comfort, quality, reliability, cost of ownership and dealership satisfaction, and is the most comprehensive study of its kind.
The results are an improvement for Jaguar, which was ranked third overall in 2011.
Jaguar’s mid-sized saloon, the XF, was also singled out for particular praise, winning the Executive Car of the Year title.
Speaking on the award, Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover UK, said: “to be awarded the Number One spot by JD Power is a huge honour – not only for the staff of the 90 Jaguar dealers in the UK but for the 2,000 employees at the Castle Bromwich factory and the talented designers and engineers based in Warwickshire whose determination, attention to detail and commitment to quality have delivered this result.”
Jaguar’s good fortunes seem set to continue, with the firm announcing a 56 per cent rise in sales and the forthcoming debut of two eagerly anticipated new models, the XF Sportbrake and the all new F-Type sports car, which are expected in summer 2012 and 2013 respectively.
