Best used car 2011• Nissan Qashqai named best used car
• Great reputation maintains popularity
• Two wins in a row for British-built Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai crossover has been named the best used car of 2011, for the second year running.

A panel of judges placed the British-built Qashqai top from a shortlist of six models. Their opinion was based on affordability, trusted reputation, retail popularity and innovative impact on the motor industry – areas where the Nissan crossover excels.

The decision was based not only on the opinions of private customers, but also company car drivers, fleet operators and used car dealers.

Mark Bulmer from CAP – the independent used car pricing experts – said: “It is a great all-rounder that is perfect for its purpose, delivering on style as well as practicality for motorists and providing a great retail proposition for use car dealers.”

The Qashqai faced tough competition from the Citroen DS3, Fiat 500, Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio and Vauxhall Zafira.

It won because of its economy, handling, strong build quality and reliability. The experts at CAP were also impressed with its ability to retain more of its value after three years or 60,000 miles than the overall market average. Now there’s never been a better excuse to search the classifieds and search for a used Nissan Qashqai.
