Motorexpo• UK’s biggest free motor show
• 50 Jaguar E-Types mark opening
• 200 cars on display

The free-to-visit 2011 Motorexpo show opens on Monday June 6 at London’s Canary Wharf.

It promises to be the largest event of its kind in the UK, with displays from manufacturers including Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lotus, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saab, Skoda, Tesla, Vauxhall and Volvo.

It will be the UK public’s first chance to see the latest Jaguar XF luxury saloon, Mercedes SLK convertible, Bentley Continental GT sports car, Lexus CT200h hybrid hatchback and Saab 9-5 SportWagon.

Events will get underway as a cavalcade of 50 Jaguar E-Type classic cars makes its way from central London to Canary Wharf, led by a group of cyclists representing the charity UK Youth and its president Nigel Mansell OBE.

Once at the show, visitors can drive electric vehicles including the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Nissan LEAF and Tesla Roadster as part of a ‘Drive the Future’ experience. In the Motorexpo RaceRoom a race simulator allows you to take part in a competition to drive an F1 car at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary.

The show is free, there are no tickets and access is via the London Underground, Docklands Light Railway, Thames Clipper river boat or bus. Four car parks can accommodate those driving to the event.

Motorexpo is open between 10am and 6pm from Monday June 6 to Saturday June 11 and 11am to 5pm on Sunday June 12.
