Mercedes C- and E-Class recalled
Tuesday 12 October 2010
Mercedes is recalling 22,000 C-Class and E-Class models built between June 2009 and February 2010.
The potential fault has not been linked with any accidents, and each car should take less than an hour for dealers to fix.
Owners will be contacted this week regarding the problem, which could cause a loss of fluid from the power assisted steering system.
Every customer will be invited to take their car to a local Mercedes dealership, where a nut inside the power steering pump will be checked and tightened.
If a customer is already experiencing steering problems, they are urged to contact their Mercedes dealership immediately.
