New Nissan Pathfinder and Navara
Thursday 06 May 2010
Both models are powered by an improved 2.5-litre diesel engine, which develops 188bhp and 332 lb/ft of pulling power, whilst cutting 0-62mph time to 10.7 seconds.
Fuel economy has been boosted from the outgoing models’ 28.8mpg to 33.2mpg, while CO2 levels have been cut from 264g/km to just 224g/km – allowing the Pathfinder to drop two tax bands.
A new ultra-efficient V6 diesel engine will join the line-up in September.
The Navara is available in two trim levels. The entry-level Acenta gets side and curtain airbags, ESP and front fog lights. Tekna adds pop-up headlight washers, a speed limiter, power fold mirrors and MP3 connectivity.
The Pathfinder comes with a new centre console, added storage and an MP3 AUX input. Tekna trim is fitted with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic and adds 18-inch wheels, satellite navigation with 7-inch touch screen, headlight washers, speed limiter and Nissan Connect Premium HDD – a new ‘infotainment’ system which combines state-of-the-art navigation, music storage and playback.
