Curvier lines echo C70

Volvo has revealed pictures of a restyled C30 which adopts the looks of its larger siblings, the C70 and the S60 Concept.

The nose of the re-jigged lower-medium hatchback loses the straight lines of the first version and becomes a lot curvier up front.

As well as a new front bumper, the C30 now gets fresh headlights which slant backwards and upwards.

The mid-life refresh also brings the option of a new colour – orange – and a new colour-coded strip running around the rear and sides.

New colour choices are also available for the interior, including a cranberry leather upholstery option.

The engine range remains the same as before with the 1.6D start stop DRIVe offering fuel economy of 72.4mpg and emissions of 104g/km, meaning an annual tax bill of just £35.

Prices are yet to be announced for the face-lifted C30, but are hoped to be largely in line with the current list.

More details on prices and specification will be announced closer to the face-lifted car’s arrival. Production starts in November while first customers should get their cars in January 2010.
