Other cars include the McLaren F1 and Jaguar XJ220 flying the flag for Britain, the Ferrari Daytona and BMW’s only supercar, the M1. The 2008 British Motor Show also includes Drift School where visitors are driven round a circuit by a professional who swerves and screeches round a purpose-built skid pan. And like the 2006 show, Mazda will have its Zoom Zoom challenge where visitors get the chance to drive round a small racetrack in a Mazda MX-5 and Mazda RX-8. There will also be a music festival taking place in the evening of each day with the likes of Blondie, Meat Loaf and Status Quo performing. It’s expected 500,000 will attend the show on London’s Docklands with more than 60 car makers displaying its latest launches. The British Motor Show runs from Wednesday July 23 until Sunday August 3 with tickets for adults costing from £10 and children’s tickets costing from £6.
