A new top-of-the-range Ford Mondeo has been announced – the Ford Mondeo Titanium Sport X.

The hot Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport is the new flagship Mondeo – first seen in hit James Bond adventure Casino Royale – which adds a range of styling accessories to the sales reps’ favourite, along with a brand new diesel engine.

Ford has installed a new 175bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine into the Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport, which is 30bhp more powerful than the 2-litre diesel model.

This propels the sporty new Ford Mondeo from 0-62mph in 8.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 139mph.

And this performance is available alongside a combined fuel economy of 45.6mpg and 165g/km of carbon emissions, putting the new Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport diesel into tax band D, with an annual bill of £145.

For customers wanting extra thrills in the new premium-spec Mondeo Titanium X Sport, the range-topping 220bhp 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine – as seen in the hot Ford Focus ST – is also available.

The Titanium X Sport range comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, twin-chromed exhaust pipes, body-coloured side skirts, leather/alcantara seats, a leather steering wheel, and piano black interior detailing.

The Titanium X Sport also adds an in-dash Sony CD player, voice control, rain-sensing wipers, park assist, Bluetooth connectivity, alloy pedals and sports suspension.

The new Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport range is on sale now with prices starting from £23,355 for the five-door model, and £26,605 for the estate.
