Auto Trader is reporting live from the 2008 British Motor Show today

London is car central today as the 2008 British Motor Show kicks off on the capital’s waterfront – and Auto Trader is reporting live.

We’ve travelled to the ExCeL centre in East London tooled up with our laptops, cameras and eagle eyes to bring you all the latest news as it happens.

And there’s plenty going on.

After months of information being sneakily leaked, the public will get the world’s first look at the Ford Focus RS.

Other big UK debuts taking place include the Vauxhall Insignia, which is replacing the outgoing Vectra in the ultra-important family and sales’ rep sector and the Alfa MiTo supermini.

Also on show is the all-new Lotus Eagle, a V6-powered car which will target the sports coupe market.

We’ll also get one of the first tries on Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom race track members of the public get to drive a Mazda 2 and Mazda MX-5 round a purpose-built race track.
