Gran Turismo 5 Prologue – official details
11 March 2008 Official details of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the Sony PlayStation 3 have been released with Ferrari making its debut in the driving game of 2008. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will feature six tracks in total, including the Fuji Speedway in Japan and the Daytona International Speedway. And players will be able to race their dream cars around a London city track, passing landmarks like Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square in their dream supercars without the fear of getting flashed by a speed camera. There is also the chance to drive the supercar of 2008 – the Nissan GT-R, which – in real life – was developed by the man behind GT5, Kazunori Yamauchi. There will be 70 more cars to choose from including the modern day supercars the Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9 and Ford GT along with classics such as the Ferrari F40 and Lancia Delta HF Integrale rally car. Other features include an in-game museum showing the history and heritage of the top car manufacturers and – for the first time – the ability to race other GT5 players online.
The groundbreaking Gran Turismo driving series made its debut on the Sony PlayStation ten years ago and became an instant success with its amazing replay facility and realistic controls. Over the past decade more than 50 million copies of the series have been sold. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a teaser version of the full GT5 title, where you will be able to race around the Top Gear track, which goes on sale in 2009. Only available on the Sony PlayStation 3, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue goes on sale on March 28, costing £24.99. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: The full car list Acura NSX '91 |
