The world’s first and only Range Rover Sport Autobiography is for sale on Auto Trader.

In ‘Lamborghini metallic orange’ this brand new 2008 Range Rover Sport HST is the only one in the world which has undergone the Autobiography programme and features a host of bespoke adjustments.

Besides the wild £12,000 paintjob, the Range Rover Sport HST Autobiography also features 22-inch alloy wheels, colour-coded handles and bonnet vents, electric glass sunroof, twin exhausts and the standard HST bodykit.

Cosworth-powered Range Rover: World exclusive

Inside, the Range Rover Sport HST Autobiography gets ebony quilted leather seats with orange stitching, all-round electrics, a premium sound system and sat-nav.

Under the bright orange bonnet sits the standard 3.6-litre V8 diesel engine which produces 268bhp and an enormous 472lb/ft of pulling power – 96lb/ft more than the Lamborghini Gallardo supercar it shares its colour with.

The Range Rover Sport HST Autobiography will accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in 8.6 seconds before topping out at 130mph. But while it’s performance can’t touch the Lambo, the Range Rover is a 4x4 first and foremost and can be taken off-road where it performs admirably.

Driver aids and safety features on the luxury 4x4 include anti-lock brakes, electronic brake distribution, eight airbags, while a pair of Brembo brake discs sit behind the front alloys.

HST is the top trim available on a Range Rover Sport, with footballer Steven Gerrard previously owning one. When it appeared on Auto Trader earlier in the year it was snapped up in less than 30 minutes.

While it’s possible to buy a Range Rover Sport and go to a bodywork specialist and have this sort of work done, the HST Autobiography is a bespoke programme taken care of in-house at Land Rover.

This unique Range Rover Sport HST Autobiography is for sale with the Farnell Land Rover Guiseley in Yorkshire, the world’s oldest Land Rover dealer.

In standard guise the Range Rover Sport HST costs £60,000, but with the paintjob, wheels and new seats, the Autobiography tips the scales at £79,995.
