Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport revealed
26 November 2009
Renault has revealed a new Twingo special edition - the Twingo Gordini Renaultsport.
Changes are mainly cosmetic and the Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup doesn't get a power boost or engine upgrade.
The Gordini Renaultsport includes a unique white-on-blue colour scheme inside and out, with 'Gordini Series' badging and a leather interior.

It features 17-inch alloy wheels with a blue or black inner rim and a host of extras: climate control, cruise control, speed limiter, automatic headlights and wipers, steering-wheel CD controls, iPod connectivity and extra-tinted rear windows.
The warm hatch still uses the Twingo 133 Cup's 1.6-litre engine developing 133bhp. This gives the Twingo performance figures of 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 125mph. Read Auto Trader's review of the Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup.

Other extras include the 'Cup' chassis with lower ride height, stiffer springs and dampers, Bluetooth hands-free kit, panoramic sunroof and curtain airbags.
The name and styling honours Amédée Gordini, a race driver and mechanic who joined Renault in the 50s and helped develop its vehicles over a 20-year period.
He designed the Renault 8 Gordini, which finished first, third, fourth and fifth in the 1964 Tour of Corsica rally. It also featured blue paintwork and twin white stripes.
The Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport goes on sale in March 2010 and is expected to cost £14,000.
It's currently on display at the Atelier Renault on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, until 10 January 2010, as part of a 'Christmas in Blue' exhibition.
