Watch out Dr Evil – Ken Block has got himself a ‘Mini-Me’.
Everyone’s favourite King of internet-donuting has released a new video from his sensational ‘Gymkhana’ video series.
This one, snazzily-titled ‘Gymkhana 2.1’, showcases American Subaru rally racer Block’s amazing drifting skills against a miniature Impreza driven by his mate Rob Dyrdek – a professional skateboarder and MTV reality TV star.
Fans of Block’s Gymkhana videos will instantly recognise the modified Impreza WRX STI rally car – a fire-spitting 601bhp monster which can probably keep up with a Bugatti Veyron. To about 62mph at least…
For those of you uninitiated to the laid-back world of Ken Block (shame on you), a brief history lesson: his love of skateboarding and snowboarding led him to start his own shoe and clothing line called ‘DC Shoes’ in 1994.
His other main love in his life was driving everywhere sideways, and he decided to put this to good use by entering into rallying with Subaru in 2005.
Since then, he has claimed numerous wins in the Rally America, including 100 Acre Wood, Rally Colorado, and Lake Superior Performance Rally.
And to help promote his DC Shoes brand, he got together with a cameraman and filmed himself donuting around an airport in California, kickstarting his Gymkhana videos.
The rest, as they say, is history…
