The Aston Martin DBS which will appear in Quantum of Solace features a 6-litre V12 engine producing 510bhp and 420lb/ft of pulling power.

This means the DBS can accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds and can hit 100mph from standstill in just 9.4 seconds before running out of steam at 191mph.

The Aston Martin DBS – which Jeremy Clarkson described as a “harder Aston Martin DB9” – features a muscular bodykit, 20-inch alloy wheels and uprated sports suspension.

Quantum of Solace follows Daniel Craig’s James Bond as he tracks down a member of a secret organisation who intends to take control of Bolivia’s water supply.

The new two minute trailer shows an action-packed return for cinema’s greatest secret-agent, with Daniel Craig assuring his boss ‘M’ – played by Dame Judi Dench – not “to worry about me.”

Producer Michael G Wilson said the title of the new Bond film was taken from an original Ian Fleming short story. “There’s much more action in this film compared to the last film – probably twice as many action sequences. It’s pretty much jam-packed.”

The new James Bond film Quantum of Solace will hit UK cinemas on 31 October 2008.
