A teaser for the Mazda 3 MPS has been released giving a glimpse of the new hot hatch.
Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Mazda 3 MPS will get a 2.3-litre turbocharged engine which is expected to develop around 260bhp and enable a 6 second 0-62mph time and top speed of 155mph.
The new MPS – which is expected to cost around £19,000 – gets a huge bonnet scoop, rear spoiler along with a set of sporty alloy wheels.
When viewed from the side, the 3 MPS shares similarities with the Mazda 2 Sport thanks to its low sweeping lines.
Mazda is also unveiling a stop-start version of its standard 3 hatchback which should improve fuel economy by 12 per cent.
The Japanese company is being particularly sketchy with details on its new models, so we’ll bring you more information when the two cars make their world debuts in Geneva.
In the meantime check out this teaser video of the new hot hatch.
