Attracting global buyers from India, Australia, America, the Middle East and many countries throughout Europe, the 2008 Hewden Auction will be Europe's largest disposal of construction equipment, vehicles, cranes and associated items direct from a single fleet. The 2008 Hewden Auction covers machinery ranging from air tools & compressors, access, compaction rollers, wheeled & tracked excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, forklifts and power generation. In addition, the organisers believe The 2008 Hewden Auction may be the largest offering of mobile cranes to go under the hammer since the late Eighties. Significant entries are expected in the auction from parent company Finning International Inc. The sale boasts a nostalgic element as the last Hewden JCB 3CX on the fleet will be sold, number 109198 to be exact! Senior partner, John Holland FRICS, FAAV of Thimbleby & Shorland said: "Buyers are able to source pre-owned equipment with the confidence of knowing it has come from a credible source, and more importantly, that it has been well maintained and regularly serviced”. The sale will also include a number of asphalt paving machines from Finning subsidiary FinnPave. General Manager of Product and Pricing at Hewden, Alan Huddart, said: "We have conducted several successful auctions in the past and this year looks set to be just as popular. “With both domestic and international buyers showing considerable interest, it shows that the second hand equipment market is still thriving. Buyers are invited to register on line at The 2008 Hewden Auction website, http://www.thehewdenauction.com Once registered, buyers will be contacted via email, with updates on new items coming into the sale.
