19 August 2008 Skoda is offering buyers a free £1,000 trim upgrade on the Skoda Roomster. The Czech company is offering buyers of the Skoda Roomster midi-MPV a free upgrade to the next trim level until the end of September. For example, buy a Skoda Roomster 1 and you’ll now get 15-inch alloy wheels, an additional four speakers, fully colour coded body trim and air-conditioning. Buy a Skoda Roomster 2 and you’ll drive home with larger alloy wheels, a front armrest, cruise control, front fog lights, a panoramic sunroof and rear parking sensors.
The Roomster midi-MPV boasts impressive interior space which incorporates Skoda’s VarioFlex system. This means the seats can be arranged in a number of different ways, including folding the middle seat to create an armrest, removing the middle seat, and removing any or all of the rear seats to open up 1,780 litres of rear luggage space. Skoda say the Roomster mixes a ‘driving room’ up front, while offering the luxury of an ‘airy living room’ for the rear passengers. The Roomster is also available with a 1.4-litre diesel engine which produces 80bhp, while returning 62.8mpg on the combined cycle and 139g/km of CO2 emissions. Prices for the Skoda Roomster start at £10,055. Check out the Skoda Fabia 'cake' advert:
