The all-new Ford Ka city car will play a cameo role alongside Hollywood superstar Daniel Craig in this year’s James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.

The new Ford Ka – which was revealed earlier this month – will be driven by new ‘Bond girl’ Camille, played by Olga Kurylenko.

But this isn’t the first 007 movie to feature a hot new Ford – in 2006, Daniel Craig, in his first outing as suave super-agent James Bond, got behind the wheel of the new Ford Mondeo in Casino Royale.

The Quantum of Solace Ford Ka is a special edition model featuring gold metallic paint and exclusive exterior graphics and interior trim.

The special edition Ford Ka produced for upcoming Quantum of Solace was built in collaboration with the movie’s award-winning designer Dennis Gassner.

The striking new Ford Ka shares design cues with the new Ford Fiesta, which recently made its UK debut at the 2008 British International Motor Show.

And the new Ka will make its worldwide debut at the 2008 Paris motor show, which kicks off on 2 October.

The new Ford Ka will be built alongside the Fiat 500 and is rumoured to share some parts with its Italian counterpart.

The all-new Ford Ka will be replacing the first generation model, which made its debut in 1996, and will feature small and efficient petrol engines and a small diesel.

We expect all of these to achieve more than 40mpg, and several models to emit less than 100g/km of carbon dioxide, making them road tax exempt.

Prices should start at around £8,000 when it goes on sale early in 2009.
