These are the first pictures of the Volvo XC60 Concept which will make its UK debut at November’s MPH show.

The crossover vehicle will be the third all-wheel drive vehicle to join the Volvo range when it goes on sale in 2009.

The Volvo XC60 will be the baby brother to the XC90, and from early shots is expected to have twin-exhausts, sculpted tail lights and a muscular body shell.

Volvo is remaining tight-lipped about any engine or interesting features the XC60 will have – full details are expected next year.

But expect prices for the baby 4x4 to start around the £25,000 mark.

The MPH show sees Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond present a selection of stunts, explosions and supercars at Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre and the Birmingham NEC.

We’ll be reporting live from the extravaganza when it kicks off on November 1.
