Volvo prices new C70
08 November 2005 Volvo has announced today that the C70 will be sold in three trim levels: Sport, SE and SE Lux. All cars will carry a high level of standard specification, including climate control, cruise control, leather sports steering wheel and gear knob, 17-inch alloy wheels, front foglights and a premium sound system. SE trim adds an electrically-adjusted driver's seat, full leather upholstery and a six-CD upgraded stereo, while range-topping SE Lux models include powered folding door mirrors, electrically adjusted passenger seat, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Perhaps most noticeably, it also receives a 12-speaker Dynaudio surround sound system, including two sub-woofers mounted behind the rear seats. The four-seat C70 has adopted the folding hard-top design whichmeans it can be switched from a coupe to a cabriolet in less than 30 seconds. To ensure the model meets Volvo's renowned safety standards, all C70s will feature pioneering new, door-mounted, inflatable curtain airbags. Two petrol engines will be available at launch. The 2.4i Sport will be the cheapest model, starting at £26,200, while the faster 2.5-litre T5 Sport starts at £29,475. Top-spec SE Lux versions will cost £29,950 and £33,225 respectively. Diesel buyers will have to wait until the middle of next year for the 180bhp D5 turbodiesel.
