Vauxhall has released details of its latest hot hatch – the Corsa SRi.

Powered by a turbocharged 148bhp, 1.6-litre engine, the first Corsa SRi in 4 years can accelerate from 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds and reach 130mph.

On the outside, the Vauxhall Corsa is sported up with a bodykit, 17-inch alloys and a sports exhaust.

The interior has been fitted with red sports seats, a leather steering wheel, alloy pedals and red seatbelts.

There will also be a 123bhp diesel alternative, which hits 60mph in 9.3 seconds and has a top speed of 121mph while boasting a combined fuel economy of 58.9mpg.

The Corsa SRi will act as an insurance-friendly version of Vauxhall’s super-hot 170bhp Corsa VXR.

Both models will be available with three or five doors, with the Corsa SRi going on sale in September.
