07 March 2008 You are looking at the first pictures of the Ferrari F430 Race – with more power than the legendary Ferrari Enzo. It has an incredible 216mph top speed, dispatches 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds and will set you back £150,000. The standard engine has been tuned by German engineers Novitec Rosso to produce a staggering 217bhp more than the production Ferrari F430. View more pictures of the Ferrari F430 Race When revved to 8,350 rpm the tuned engine is pushing out 707bhp and 525lb/ft of pulling power thanks to Novitec Rosso installing two superchargers to get the Ferraris 4.3-litre V8 engine. Its not the first Ferrari Novitec Rosso has built, last year we reported on the 208mph Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano by Novitec. The standard Ferrari wheels are swapped for 20-inch Novitec wheels with ultra wide Pirelli tyres. New suspension has the ability to lift the car’s nose by 40 millimetres at the push of a button – crucial for traversing speed humps and steep driveways. The brakes have been completely replaced with items developed with Italian brake experts Brembo and should provide eye popping stopping. Novitec Rosso is giving their customers free reign to customise the interior with carbon fibre trim and figure hugging bucket seats all on the options list. Leather and Alcantara can be crafted in any colour and design. |
