Sporty new Ibiza just six months away
|
11 September 2008 Hot FR and Cupra versions will also be offered, but Seat says the whole Ibiza range will look sporty. The new model will sit lower on the road than the current car, but it will be longer and wider. Seat is promising that the new Ibiza will include features not seen on any current supermini. Although details are still sketchy, xenon headlights for dipped and main beam would be offered as an option. Ecomotive news Meanwhile, Seat is hoping to trump parent company Volkswagen by offering its Ibiza Ecomotive with air-conditioning, yet still keeping carbon dioxide emissions below 100g/km. VW's Polo Bluemotion emits 99g/km of CO2, but only for models without air-con. Models with air-con emit 104g/km, placing it in the higher road tax band B. Seat has also confirmed that a Leon Ecomotive should go on sale in January. The green small family car should emit less than 120g/km of carbon dioxide, putting the car into road tax band B. |
