A Rolls-Royce once owned by Star Wars legend Kenny Baker is up for auction.

The pint-sized actor, who played cult robot R2D2, owned the classic Corniche Coupe before passing it on to its current owner.

Powered by a hefty 6.75 litre V8, the 1982 Corniche was derived from the Silver Shadow and regarded as a benchmark in luxury motoring.

Rolls-Royce discontinued the coupe model in 1982 after 11 years of production while the convertible version ran until 1996.

The blue coupe, which has clocked just over 63,000 miles is MOT’d until March 2007 and has a guide price of £11,000 to £13,000.

The Corniche goes under the hammer on July 25/26 in Buxton. For more information contact H&H sales on 01925 730630.
