Special edition Porsche Cayenne Turbo unveiled
27 September 2007 The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is now available with extra power, styling features and accessories. German tuning firm Techart has launched an extensive range of add-ons designed to make the Porsche Cayenne Turbo faster and more exclusive. Once tuned the 4.8-litre turbocharged engine, produces 620bhp. The two-and-a-half-tonne SUV accelerates to 0-60mph in under five seconds and onto a 186mph top speed. The Porsche Cayman S sportscar has a top speed of 171mph. Techart’s bodykit incorporates huge front air intakes and spoiler. At the rear there is a racing-car-style diffuser in place to suck the car to the road giving higher stability at high speed. A lowered ride height and huge 22-inch wheels give the Techart Porsche Cayenne Turbo a more ground-hugging appearance. Techart offer customers a long list of interior options, including custom leather coverings by Swiss manufacturer Sede de Switzerland and cutting edge multimedia systems. Other options include a carbon fibre engine cover and individually painted engine components. The Porsche Cayenne was launched in 2002 and has been a huge success, selling in exceptional numbers. Over 150,000 have been built so far (Porsche only expected to sell 80,000). A face-lifted version went on sale earlier this year.
