Peugeot 3008 crossover is coming
16 September 2008 Combining 4x4 and MPV styling, the car is described by Peugeot as being 'derived from the fusion of different worlds'. Although the concept car, which will be unveiled at the Paris motor show next month, is powered by a hybrid drivetrain, the production version will go on sale with more conventional engines. However, a hybrid drivetrain could go on sale in the future. The concept car's hybrid system combines 200bhp performance with CO2 emissions of just 109g/km. Details of whether it uses a petrol or diesel engine have not been released yet, although Peugeot announced yesterday that it will have the world's first diesel-electric hybrid production car on sale within two years. The Prologue concept car will also operate in electric-only mode. |
