Because this ladies and gentlemen, is the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster which has just debuted in Frankfurt.
The cheeky people at Lamborghini denied the images leaked last week were real because they were undeniably narked that someone had stolen its thunder.
Because this car is phenomenal looking, fantastically fast and priced beyond even Auto Trader’s editorial team.

Under the fighter jet-inspired shell is a 6.5-litre engine which is good for 656bhp and 487lb/ft of pulling power. This will rocket the convertible from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and on to 205mph.
Oh, and it’s got a g-force meter too.

The engine revs to 8,000rpm with the sound described by Lamborghini as a ‘symphony which sends shudders across the spine’.
It’s probably shuddering the spines of a few supercar makers’ CEOs in Frankfurt as we speak who must be gutted they’re displaying their new project on the same day as the show-stealing Reventon Roadster.

As the wraps were taken off the new Lambo, hundreds surrounded the hypercar frantically flashing their cameras. It was like Chinawhite on a Thursday night.

First deliveries of the Reventon Roadster will begin next month with ‘less than 20 Lamborghini friends and collectors able to own this extraordinary car’.
Next to a journalist with a Dog the Bounty Hunter mullet and facial hair like Geoff off Byker Grove, this is the most impressive thing on display in Frankfurt.
Expect the order book to fill quickly.
