A London-based design company has unveiled a no-expense-spared two-door Range Rover Sport Coupe, with 500bhp and bespoke interior.

In 2004 Land Rover made history by unveiling its first ever show car, the Range Stormer Concept. This inspired LSE design to build the two-door Range Rover Sport Coupe, seen here in the flesh for the first time.

Initially it's available with the standard 4.2-litre Supercharged V8 and diesel TDV8 engines, but LSE are promising details of a 500bhp engine upgrade package soon.

The sleek, yet hard-edged shape is comprised of many carbon fibre components, making much needed weight savings. There are only two doors, sitting between massive bulging wheelarches.

They need to be big; they contain 22-inch LSE wheels, welding the Coupe onto the road. LED lighting, metallic sidesteps and polished tailpipes add to the ultra-modern design rhetoric.

Inside there are sumptuous Nappa leather seats available in many different colours. High-quality features abound - LSE claims the designers of the unique dashboard clock include Bugatti and Bentley in their portfolio.

The roof has a full length glass sunroof which can transform to provide more or less shade, providing the cabin with an airy ambience.

When it goes on sale in selected Land Rover dealerships next spring, the LSE Land Rover Sport Coupe is expected to start at £120,000.

LSE plan to produce 100 cars in 2008 with 20 being sold in the UK with a manufacturer’s warranty.
