Auto Trader has seven brand new Fiat 500s for sale on the site – two weeks before the car’s official UK launch.

Fans of 2008’s funkiest new car can snap up early left-hand-drive 500s, skipping the expected two month waiting list for the Fiat 500.

Fiat is set to launch its newest baby to the UK on January 21 in an eye-catching event – with the new Fiat 500 hitching a ride in one of the London Eye’s pods.

Order books on the funky new 500 opened in December and there is already a two month waiting list.

But if you don’t mind left-hand-drive models with delivery mileage – you can pick up a new Fiat 500 for around £9,000 – and become one of the first people in the UK to own one.

The new Fiat 500 officially goes on sale on January 21 at 8pm – exactly 500 hours after 2008 began, with prices starting at just £7,900, undercutting BMW’s Mini substantially.

First reviews of the new 500 are positive, with the car winning the 2008 European Car of the Year award to cement its arrival and rekindle the 1950’s nostalgia of the original.

The new Fiat 500 is available in three trim levels and will be offered with a choice of three engines – a 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol, and a 1.3-litre diesel engine.

And Auto Trader will be at the glitzy star-studded launch of the new Fiat 500 at the London Eye on January 21 – check back for a full report.
