05 February 2008 The Citroen C1 and Citroen C3 Pluriel are now available in the special edition Code trim. Based on the top trim levels, the Citroen C1 and Citroen C3 Pluriel Code get leather seats, alloy wheels, chrome interior trim and black paintjob. The Citroen C1, which is powered by a 1-litre engine producing 68bhp and 69lb/ft of pulling power, accelerates from 0-62mph in 13.7 seconds and has a top speed of 98mph. But while performance isn’t breathtaking, the C1 Code is ideal for budget motoring, averaging 60.1mpg and emitting just 109g/km of carbon dioxide, meaning an annual tax bill of just £35. And insurance group one should ensure cheap premiums.
The Citroen C3 Pluriel – which has a fully retractable roof – is available with a 1.4-litre engine, which accelerates from 0-62mph in 13.9 seconds and has a top speed of 99mph. Rolling on 15-inch alloys, the funky-looking cabriolet has four airbags and was awarded four stars out of five in the EuroNCAP crash test programme. The Citroen C1 and Citroen C3 Code special edition models will join the C2 Code with prices starting from £7,945 for the C1 and rising to £12,895 for the C3 Pluriel. |
