Caterham is launching two limited editions of its Seven roadster to celebrate the car's 30th birthday.

Just 30 cars will be available - 15 each of the Tracksport, a dedicated track day car, and the SV 30, which aims to be the ultimate machine for a B-road blast.

The £17,950 Tracksport comes only in green, fully built and complete with race suspension, seat and harnesses and a roll-over hoop. Power comes from a race-tuned 140bhp 1.8-litre MG engine, which blasts the car to 60mph in 5.3sec.

The SV is longer and wider than the standard Seven, allowing more room inside. With a 120bhp 1.6-litre MG engine, it hits 60mph in 6.0sec, and returns about 37mpg when touring. It costs £19,950 and includes 15-inch alloy wheels and full weather gear.

Anyone who buys one of these limited editions will get a further special offer. Sign up for a Tracksport and you will get a day at the Palmersport Autodrome track, while those who buy an SV 30 will qualify for a weekend at one of 15 Hilton hotels.
