- The German SUV is powered by a 4.8-litre engine producing 355bhp and 350lb/ft pulling power.
- This means acceleration from 0-62mph (100kph) in 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 150mph.
- It’s 3mph slower than the outgoing model but is more economical (22mpg) and produces fewer harmful emissions (299g/km).
- It uses a six-speed automatic gearbox, channelling power to all four wheels.
- The M Sport treatment means 19-inch V-spoke alloys, sports suspension, M aerodynamic body styling, sports seats and M steering wheel. Customers can upgrade to 20-inch wheels at an extra cost.
- Inside there’s air-con, all-round electric windows, a CD player and 6.5-inch display screen. The interior trim is dark walnut as standard, but customers can specify bushed aluminium, dark bamboo or light poplar for no additional cost.
- Prices start at £53, 440 - £3,000 more than the standard 4.8i X5.
