The premium convertible is powered by a 252bhp 3.9-litre V8 engine, mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox.
The Thunderbird has covered 9,800 miles from new, and features leather upholstery, climate control, electric roof/windows/mirrors/seats, CD changer and hardtop stand and cover.
Travolta has autographed the dashboard, and the original US documentation shows him as the first owner.
The current owner bought the Thunderbird from the star in California, before bringing it to the UK. The sale includes a photograph of John Travolta outside his home with the car and its present owner.
The 55-year-old American actor and singer got his first big break in the 1970s thanks to the TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Soon after, he landed two of the most memorable roles of the decade: Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever and Danny Zuko in Grease.
These films became two of the most commercially successful films of the 1970s and promptly catapulted Travolta to international stardom.
Travolta revived his career in the 1990s, playing Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. Since then he has starred in a series of high-profile Hollywood films, including Face/Off, Swordfish, Hairspray and as the lead voice in Disney’s Bolt, where he played a lost canine actor trying to get home.
Travolta is a certified pilot and owns five planes, including a Boeing 707. Earlier this week he publically used his 707 to fly supplies, doctors and Scientologist healers to help earthquake victims in Haiti.
John Travolta’s Ford Thunderbird is advertised for sale by Stratstone Park Lane Cadillac, Corvette & Hummer, for £31,991.
There are currently four Ford Thunderbirds for sale on Auto Trader.
