Jay Kay’s old Ferrari 360 Spider for sale

A couple of weeks ago Jay Kay got snapped in one of the UK’s first Ferrari Scuderia 16M Spiders.
And now one of his old convertible Fezzas has come up for sale on Auto Trader.
Captain Ferrari as he’s known (or as we’ve just made up) was the first owner of the 360 Spider which he bought in 2001 for £114,000 – or 8,800 copies of A Funk Odyssey.

The 360 Spider went on sale in the UK in October 2000 with Ferrari fitting it with a 3.6-litre V8 engine developing 400bhp.
This power – channelled to the rear wheels – accelerates the Ferrari from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 180mph.

And this is a unique model with Jay speccing the convertible with green seats – something he would do a couple of years later when splashing out £418,000 on a Ferrari Enzo.
The Enzo is the ultimate Ferrari but Jay ran into some trouble earlier this year when a chef vandalised it, causing £10,000 damage. It cost a staggering £2,500 just to replace the smashed windscreen.

The Enzo and 360 Spider are just two Ferraris previously owned by the Jamiroquai frontman. In the past he has owned:

He knows how to drive too, and currently sits at the top of the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car chart on Top Gear.
Jay Kay’s old 360 Spider, which has covered 19,100 miles, is for sale with Ferrari specialist Joe Macari for £47,995 – a saving of 15,505 over last January’s price when it was for sale on Auto Trader. Bargain!
