Hell’s Kitchen star’s Porsche Cayenne for sale

The Hell’s Kitchen star – who was once voted the sexiest chef in the world by The New York Times – was the first and only owner of the 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, which is powered by a 444bhp 4.5-litre V8 engine.

The sports SUV is capable of travelling from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 158mph.

It comes fitted with privacy glass, private number plate, centrally adjustable suspension, electric seats, extended wood trim, BOSE sound system and 20-inch sports design alloy wheels.

Novelli was born into a working class family in Arras, northern France, in 1961.

At the age of 19 he began working at a chain of restaurants owned by the Rothschild family, before coming to Britain three years later.

Rick Stein introduced him to Keith Floyd, and he became chef-manager of Floyd’s pub and restaurant, the Maltsters Arms in Devon.

He won the first of two Michelin stars as head chef at La Provence in Lymington before moving to the Four Seasons hotel in London in 1993.

He recently appeared in TV’s Hell’s Kitchen, alongside Gary Rhodes, and runs the Novelli Academy cookery school.

Novelli famously described his Porsche Cayenne Turbo to the Times newspaper, as being perfect for the country lanes around his home in rural Hertfordshire.

“German cars are the best,” said the Frenchman. “They’re miles ahead in engineering, design and technology.”

“It looks sexy. That’s why I look at the back first — the backside is the most sexy thing about a car. A car is like a beautiful woman — it’s got to look good but you’ve got to be able to afford it.”

The Porsche Cayenne has proved incredibly popular with celebrities, with previous owners including Eric Clapton, Jay Kay, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Take That’s Gary Barlow, Jamie Redknapp and Paul Robinson - all of which have had their cars for sale on Auto Trader.

Jean-Christophe Novelli’s Porsche Cayenne – which has done just 39,600 miles and cost £74,000 new – is advertised for sale by the man himself for £23,250.

here are currently more than 300 used Porsche Cayennes for sale on Auto Trader, with prices starting from £12,600.
