Coupled with a lightweight body, the M3 can accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.
The four-door saloon also benefits from BMW’s Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The M3 comes fitted with 19-inch M-sport alloy wheels, leather interior, sat-nav, xenon headlights, electric heated seats and privacy glass. It also features USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and an onboard computer.
The M3 – which has done 23,000 miles since new – comes with a full BMW service history and an 18-month BMW warranty. Ben Foster’s name is documented in the log book.
Born in Warwickshire, Foster began his footballing career in 2000 and joined Stoke City less than a year later.
While on loan to Wrexham, he was spotted by Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson who promptly made a £1 million bid for the young player. He joined United in 2005 and had made his England debut by 2007.
In the 2009 League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Foster made a save from Tottenham's Jamie O'Hara in penalty time which gave United a 4–1 win. The League Cup title was theirs and Foster was named man of the match.
