Powered by a 5.7-litre Chevrolet V8 engine, it comes with air conditioning, power steering, central locking, wire wheels and a full leather interior.
The SSK was later imported into the UK and bought by stand-up stalwart Bill Bailey. The notorious comedian promptly modified the retro beauty, adding the striking silver-coloured side panelling.

Sammy Davis Junior became internationally famous for his performances on Broadway and in Las Vegas, as a recording artist, television and film star.
In 1959, he became a member of the ‘Rat Pack’, which was led by his old friend Frank Sinatra, and included such fellow performers as Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. A year later, he appeared in the first Rat Pack movie, Ocean's Eleven.
Davis was awarded the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP, and was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for his television performances.
Sammy Davis Junior died in 1990 at the age of 64. In 2001, he was posthumously awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The original Mercedes-Benz SSK roadster was built between 1928 and 1932 in a limited run of just 40 units.
With a top speed of 120mph, the SSK was by far the fastest car of its day – and numerous competitive successes made it one of the most highly regarded sports cars of its era.
It was the last car designed for the company by Ferdinand Porsche, before he left to pursue a little known venture which now produces something called a ‘911’.
Only four original models remain, and their make them among the most sought after cars in the world. In 2004, a 1929 model was auctioned at Bonhams in Chichester for £4.2 million, making it one of the most expensive automobile ever sold.
