16 June 2008 A Rolls-Royce Phantom previously owned by The Apprentice star Sir Alan Sugar is for sale on Auto Trader. Multi-millionaire entrepreneur Sir Alan Sugar is the only owner of the 2005 Rolls-Royce Phantom, which regularly appeared in the hit BBC show The Apprentice. This sort of money has afforded the former Tottenham Hotspur chairman a host of luxury cars. The Apprentice: Sexy supercars And they don’t come more luxurious than his old Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Goodwood-built four-door saloon powered by a 6.7-litre V12 engine producing 453bhp and a titanic 531lb/ft of pulling power. This engine accelerates the 2.5-ton prestige car from 0-62mph (100kph) in just 5.9 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 149mph. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is part of a three car range which includes the convertible Drophead Coupe and recently announced Phantom Coupe. But with the Rolls-Royce Phantom it isn’t all about speed, but luxury and status with the 19 foot long car featuring 21-inch alloys and the unmistakeable Spirit of Ecstasy statuette which retracts electrically from the front of the car’s bonnet. Inside, you’ll find 500 pieces of leather, sourced from 18 different hides, 60 pieces of hand finished wood veneer, electric everything and a DVD player while the drive will be amazingly comfortable thanks to the Phantom’s electronically controlled air suspension.
