This Porsche Cayenne S sports SUV has one very athletic previous owner – England hero David Platt.

The World Cup-scoring ex-England captain was the first owner of the Porsche Cayenne S and kept it for three years.

Now it’s on sale with Auto Trader and can be yours for £19,995.

Acclaimed as the world’s first truly sporty SUV, the Porsche Cayenne S has a 4.5-litre V8 churning out 340bhp and 310lb/ft of pulling power.

And despite its weight, this allows it to dig its tyres into the ground and sprint from 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds.

The Porsche’s top speed is a heady 150mph – faster than a Lotus Elise sports car.

Special suspension which adapts for road or off-road use endows it with handling few other mud pluggers have been able to match.

David Platt’s car is fully loaded with luxury extras including satellite navigation, telephone, BOSE entertainment system, rear DVD screens, 19-inch alloy wheels, electric heated seats and climate control.

The highlight of his career came during the 1990 Italian World Cup, when Platt scored three times, including the goal which sent England into the quarter finals during the last minute of extra time against Belgium.

Platt played 62 matches for England and was captain 19 times. He scored 27 goals in this time, making him England’s tenth best goalscorer.
