Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler’s Merc for sale

A fully-loaded Mercedes ML320 off-roader previously owned by Liverpool goalscoring legend Robbie Fowler is for sale on Auto Trader.

Robbie Fowler was the first owner of this 2000 Mercedes which is fitted with a host of luxuries including ostrich feather stuffed leather seats.

Former Liverpool football Robbie Fowler is a hero on the red side of Merseyside, smashing 183 goals in 369 games for the Anfield club.

He was the last Liverpool player to hit 20 league goals in season when he managed it in 1995 until Spanish phenomenon Fernando Torres achieved the feat this season.

Fowler is currently plying his trade with FA Cup finalists Cardiff City, but has endured a season ridden with injuries.

He’s regarded as one of the game’s richest stars, amassing a fortune over the past decade by investing in property in Liverpool.

Robbie Fowler’s Mercedes ML320 is powered by a 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine producing 218bhp.

This accelerates the German off-roader from 0-62mph (100kph) in nine seconds and on to a top speed of 120mph.

But this is no basic Merc. Fowler had it fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels, video and TV player and the ostrich feather stuffed heated leather seats.

Other features on the 4x4 include climate control, all-round electrics, cruise control, CD player with multi-changer and folding door mirrors.

And Robbie Fowler isn’t the only interesting owner. This dealer told us the Merc was also owned by a diamond dealer and one of Scotland’s premier karaoke DJs.

Fowler isn’t the first Liverpool hero to have a car advertised on Auto Trader this year.

Two months ago we featured captain Steven Gerrard’s Range Rover Sport which was snapped up less than 30 minutes after going on sale.

Other footballers whose cars appeared recently include Manchester United duo Crisitano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
