A retro Jaguar XJ-S previously owned by Celebrity Big Brother star Preston is for sale on Auto Trader.

The Ordinary Boys frontman was the second owner of the V12-powered 1986 Jaguar XJ-S Cabriolet.

Using a 5.3-litre lump, the convertible Jaguar originally produced 285bhp – meaning acceleration from 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 150mph.

Inside, the automatic Jag is adorned with bright red leather seats and wood trim.

Previous owner Samuel Preston shot to fame as the frontman of indie rock band The Ordinary Boys, gaining success from hits such as ‘Boys will be Boys’.

But he’s probably best known for his appearance in the 2006 Celebrity Big Brother where he struck up a whirlwind romance with fellow Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton, who he went on to marry.

However, the couples’ marriage hit the rocks and they split earlier this year.

The Jaguar XJ-S had a lot to live up to when it was revealed to the world in 1976 – following in the tyre marks left by the über-cool Jaguar E-Type.

It was built during a tough time for British Leyland and was never the success Jaguar anticipated – with the final one rolling off the line in 1996.

Fast-forward to the Noughties and the Jaguar XJ-S is retro-cool – but a really good one is hard to find.

The 21-year-old car has covered just 29,000 miles and has a full Jaguar service history, with the first owner holding on to it for 20 years.

Now you can get your hands on Preston’s old Jaguar XJ-S – which he paid £12,000 for – for £7,995.

What is a supercar today?
